Okay - so, you have been invited to join in on the StripBlogJam and you're raring to go!
There are a few ground rules to observe...

Jam Content:
The 'working' of the jam itself is loosely based on the sisterson! game rules, which are:
You cannot draw a panel if one of your previous drawings appears within the two prior panels.
You should follow the story through sequentially, panel by panel and not cop out skipping a panel or two because you cannot think what should go next.
No unnecessary sex or violence.
These rules are not case in iron.

Jam Etiquette:
Panels should be 250x250 pixels in size and in a jpeg, gif or png format.
If you want to draw a panel, first of all state so in the comments of the last panel in the jam 'thread'. From then on - if you have facility to upload files yourself - you will have 24 hours to add the next panel (- if not and are relying on others to do this for you - then others must wait an appropriate period for the postal services to 'work their magic').
Once it has been deemed that an appropriate period has passed without a new panel appearing, someone else may state their intention to add a new panel.

 Adding a new StripBlogJam panel:

Main

When you have created a new panel that you wish to upload you will need to go to the StripBlogJam Editing Menu.

Toward the right of the page you should see an 'UPLOAD FILE' section - click on UPLOAD FILE.

 Uploading the picture :

You will then be presented with a Pop Up Window with the following details (as per the picture to the right).

Ensure you know where your picture is located on your computer (the desktop is best place to leave it for uploading)

Click on the Choose File button.

You will then be presented with a 'file browsing' window from whence you should choose the file (your StripBlogJam jam picture) that you want to upload (this is not shown as different types of computer have different file browsing windows).
Select you picture from your desktop and click 'OK'.

Upload 1

When you have selected you picture for upload it will appear next to the Choose File button.
If you have selected the incorrect file (picture), you can click Choose File again to select the correct picture.

Select an option in the Upload into: section, leaving it blank, unless you wish to create a folder in wich you would upload your pictures on the StripBlogJam server (but remember to always use this 'path' (the folder name you designate) when uploading further pictures).

Click on the upload button.

Upload 2

Another window will then ask you what you would like to do with the file.
Select:
Create a new entry using the uploaded file
and click on the embedded image
button
Upload 3

Creating a new StripBlogJam entry:

This takes you back to the main editing page.
The Main Entry Text is already filled in - this is 'html code' for the presenting the picture that has just been uploaded into StripBlogJam.
Do not alter the text.

If you are starting a new Jam thread, then add the name of this new thread in the Title box

Create new entry 1

Select the Primary Category (the jam to which the picture needs to be added) by clicking on the drop down menu and selecting the jam title from the list. Create new entry 2

 Uploading the Log entry:

scroll down the page until you reach the bottom of the Log editing window' and click on the Preview button.

Create new entry 3

This lets you preview the stripblogjam entry that you have made, before you save it, basically to ensure that you have the right picture ad all that.

If you are happy that all is OK, then click on Save this entry.

It will then tell you that it is 'building the new entry' and eventually return to the 'entry editing' window from where you can make adjustments if you realise that you have made a mistake.

That's it! - you have added a new picture to the jam!

cheers!

 Glossary:

Jam thread:
To make life interesting, there should always be a number of different jams running in StripBlogJam at any one point. Each separate jam strip that is running is a Jam thread.
Jaminator:
The person who starts a jam thread. They have 'special powers' over the jam thread - such as declaring when it should come to an end.
