I've just added a comment function to the blog with Yaccs. It'll be in a different file but I believe you folk can make it worth looking for. Reviews of sp comic booklets and zines are welcome. If you can put a new perspective on something I've already looked at thats welcome too,

As this didn't get enough coverage before here it is again. I haven't viewed a copy quite, but quite I recommend it anyway,
Gimp City by Tony McGee, £1 from 143 Meldon Drive, Bradley, Bilston, West Midlands, WV14 8BE

And some more new stuff that I've got in but is going to sit in my hallway until I come up with an innovative way of disposing of them,

The Lupus #3 (£1) by Ben Oakes with a brand new 'Bruising Pit' strip by John Cake. If you missed once cult favourite, '15 Nuns' check this! Available from 65 South Grove, Sale, Manchester, M33 3AR. For more details email BixandFloodie@Yahoo.co.uk

Gary Northfield, producer of 'A Little box Of Comics', which were in fact a little box of comcs, has sent me a copy of 'Hillmonster and Dave the dinosaur', protagonist of said little box. The cover print is on a lovely woodpulp stock.

Stupidmonster #2 is approx £1.50-£2 from Gary Northfiled, 6 Foxberry Court, Foxberry Road, Brockley, London, SE4 2SQ. For more details email Mr. Northfield at stupidmonsters@aol.com

Malcy Duff has another new booklet, 'Hoofprints' available. 24 pages, A5 wrapped in baige. Costing approx. £1.50. Contact address: 24 Belmont Gardens, Edinburgh, EH12 6JH, or malcolmduff@hotmail.com

Top Notch Tosh #6 by Andrew Lewis is on the market. This is more experimental each time I see it, Andrew pushing his own boundaries. This issue contains a strip, art by Matt Brown, a text-tale by Andrew, and a drawn strip from him adapted by John Keats. I look forward very much to properly getting a go through this.

It's worth noting that in addition to the siz issues of this (all six for £4 folks), Andrew is also the writer on 'Caliburn', an ongoing series drawn by Justin Askham. That's A4 format w. 36 pages and costs £3. And Zarjaz, the new 2000 AD zine, 11 strips, a Frazer Irving interview, £2.50 for 64 pages.

All available, readers viewers from Andrew Lewis, 39 Priory Court, Brynoch Neath, SA10 7RZ. Busy man. You do admire that.

Laura Watton, whose comics are available through Sweatdrop Studios, sent a review copy of Biomecha #4, 36 pages, A5. I seem to remember this costing somewhere in the region of £1-£2. What Lauras doing is just a small part of a much larger manga self-publishing market in the UK.

Windhead's Dogs#9 and Rod Hathway - Space Detective are both available from the publishin' like a Duracell bunny Trevor L. Hughes, Zephyr, PO Box 6, Liscard, Wallasey, Merseyside, CH45 4SJ. Send a couple of stamps for each A6 comic booklet.

Finally, is two new Leaflits from the John Robbins. 'A Memory of Heat' and 'Time of No Reply', I suspect, are the usual in your face from John Robbins, 11 Avonmore Avenue, Tallaght, Dublin 24, Eire. I suspect a SAE or reporting of interest be welcome. Email John at rhubarb108@hotmail.com

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention the homegrown Luke-Clan product, Just Suppose #3 costs £2 (p&p incl). 'Preacher Ted' should appeal to fans of the Vertigo series, the Channel 4 sitcom, Radio Times illustrator John Ireland and Stuart Luke and colour cover artwork by Paul J. Holden. Its available from 5 Stanley Avenue, Bangor, BT20 5EN, Northern Ireland.

P.S 'Strip For Me #8" comes through from Douglas Noble, 42 Nightingale Walk, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP2 7QY. It is recommended, strongly. Honestly, no of course I haven't read it. The featured jpg is from the latest though, in an experimental piece Douglas did years ago, its agreat little strip all the same. Recommended and only 50p .

How to use TRS2
To order
First off check how old the review is. If it's quite old it might be worth checking first before ordering, unless you don't mind risking the cash.
If sending a cheque, make it payable to the name in the address, unless otherwise stated. Most small pressers will not have business accounts. Alternatively, send cash. Coins should be wrapped in cardboard to avoid falling out of the envelope or being nicked.
An SAE is nice and is sometimes requested. Send the right size. In any event don't forget to include your full postal address.
Please mention TRS2 when ordering. It makes us feel loved.

To get a review in TRS2
Send a sample copy of your comic to Jez Higgins, 26 Sandon Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B17 8DS. You will receive a copy of TRS2 when it's ready.

To get a free copy of TRS2 on paper
Send an SAE to the address above.

If you're already reviewed on this site:
Please feel free to send in corrections, especially email addresses and web sites. In time we want to put sample graphics on the site but the prospect of scanning everything is a little daunting, so do send in jpegs. A small sample image for the page (150 pixels wide) and a larger scan for a seperate page.

Who's responsible?
Andy Luke worded many of the reviews on TRS2 and published the paper edition for awhile. John Robbins, Gary Northfield and Richard Barrhelp out with reviews and day to day works. Jez Higgins distributes the paper version.

Wasn't there a similar thing called TRS years ago?
Yes. Pete did the same thing in the mid 90s before moving on to do BugPowder. (history of Bugpowder here). Andy saw a need and resurrected it. Then Jez picked it up after that.
